STAYING WITH US
Get away from it all, make a weekend of it or just come and stay the night.
You don’t have to do a wine course to take advantage of our VisitBritain 5 star Gold Award bedrooms, although some of our weekend courses are tied into the Special Weekend deals we offer (please ask for details). We have 5 very comfortable en-suite rooms, which we have named after 5 of the Beaujolais’ top wine villages. On the first floor of the barn above the school itself we have 2 elegant double bedrooms, a double with en-suite shower room (Morgon) and a twin/double with en-suite bath and shower (Juliénas).
Right next to the school we have just converted the single storey old dairy into 3 further en-suite bedrooms, all with lovely high ceilings. The most impressive room is Saint Amour, measuring a very generous 17 foot by 22 foot, with a stand alone roll top bath and separate shower. The 25 foot high windows offer beautiful views over the local countryside. The other 2 new bedrooms in the dairy, with views over the garden and the surrounding fields, have en-suite bath and shower (Moulin-à-Vent) and en-suite shower (Fleurie).
Our rooms are individually furnished with carefully chosen antiques and have really comfortable super kingsize beds (6 foot by 6 foot 6 inches). We use top quality Egyptian cotton sheets and large luxury bath towels.
The rooms have TV with Freeview and built-in DVD player.
We make the most of the fabulous choice of locally available produce for our Breakfasts and Dinners. We are fully licensed and have an eclectic wine list at very friendly prices. Seating is country house style at our 11½ foot dining table.
Our guests have their own spacious sitting room with comfortable leather chesterfields and a wood burning stove. If it ever stops raining, there is a terrace with commanding views over our orchard and tennis court and the surrounding fields.
If you would prefer to dine out, then we have 2 very good local pubs, the Cadeleigh Arms and the Ring of Bells, both within 5 minutes drive. We also have the Michelin starred Mason’s Arms at Knowstone about 30 minutes drive from here.
Our hard tennis court is there for our guests to use.
Wireless internet is available. Children over 8 are welcome.
ARRIVAL TIME: We are always here from 4.00PM onwards, but if you would like to arrive earlier then it would be a great help if you would let us know in advance.
IMPORTANT: Perfect for some, hell for others - we have no mobile telephone signal in the school, you will need to go to the top of our drive then up to Redyeates Cross to find the signal.
